A paradise for hikers and bikers
Get out of the city and into nature. Around the ADAM Suites, numerous hiking and bike trails await you amidst picturesque natural landscapes. How about a hike to the Laghi Gelati/Schrüttenseen lakes at 1,970 metres above sea level in Valle di Scaleres/Schalderer Tal near Vahrn, for example? It takes around 1.5 hours and leads you along Scaleres/Schalderer River and through the forest to the big and small Laghi Gelati/Schrüttenseen lakes. Plose, Brixen’s local mountain, also offers a wide range of hiking options and a spectacular panorama. The highlight for passionate bikers: Directly on Plose, you’ll find the Brixen Bikepark with four different lines. Head for the snowy Fundres/Pfunderer mountains!
We’re talking about the ski touring options that you can enjoy around Vahrn. The starting points are around a 15-minute drive away from the ADAM Suites. For example, you can head up the 2,517-metre-high Punta di Quaira/Karspitz on skis. It’s found in Valle di Scaleres/Schalderer Tal, belongs to the Sarentine/Sarntal Alps and offers a fantastic 360° view of the Ötztal, Stubai, and Zillertal Alps. The ascent up the south side takes around two to three hours, in which time you’ll conquer some 1,000 metres in elevation. Other ski touring tips are Corno del Ceppo/Schrotthorn at 2,509 metres and Cima San Lorenzo/Lorenzispitze at 2,481 metres, both in the Sarentine/Sarntal Alps.
